Join us at Pearce Crafters Market, where creativity meets community! Enjoy a delightful market experience with 29 specially curated stallholders offering high-quality handmade items. Our market, held four times a year, coincides with an outdoor market by Rotary Woden Daybreak Club, providing a diverse range of handcrafted goods, food, tea, coffee, and live music.
We are a group of local crafters and artisans who were affected by many of our usual markets closing due to COVID. So in October 2020, we had a great idea to run a one off-market which would help us sell our stock and recoup some market income. There were 12 stalls at that first market. To say we were surprised at the response was an understatement. People came in the droves, in the rain and they loved it! So we decided on a Christmas market in the same year and again – a great success!
So we managed to build on the success of the market in 2021, with 3 markets successfully being held, the Spring market was affected by COVID Lockdown and could not be held. But the markets have gone from strength to strength, and as we embark on 2022 we have 4 markets planned and we are now 29 stalls strong. There is a very capable committee who run the market, in addition to our amazing volunteers who make the market seamless to run and ensure it is a lovely experience for our stallholders and our customers.
We thank our families and customers for their amazing support. We thank the Pearce Community Centre for the venue – what a treat it is to be inside which is appreciated by us all. And finally, to Events ACT, who have funded the promotion of the market in 2022 to help it reach more people in the Canberra region. We look forward to holding these markets for years to come.
